EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS & SERVICES:
At Sundown, we’ve got a multitude of programs and services ready to aid our community in the fight for better animal welfare. Domestics, exotics, wildlife, and anything in
between… if it needs assistance, we’re here to help. That’s why we’re excited to announce the arrival of our new mobile vet clinic.
The clinic allows us to offer pet parents a variety of services, starting with at-home appointments at 7 am. No more fighting with traffic, arriving late for work, or missing work altogether. Wellness checks, vaccines, microchipping – no problem. We’ve got you covered.
We’re also preparing to offer low-income households free spay&neuter, vaccine, and microchip services once a month, starting in October 2026. (Awaiting a grant from Petco Love that makes this possible.)
Need assistance with wildlife? We currently receive raccoons, skunks, and squirrels for rehabilitation care. Please print and fill out the INTAKE form and have it ready to hand to the rescuer upon arrival. We cannot take any animal from you without this official form, mandatory via LDWF.
As for our educational programs, we offer two types of classes:
1 – Public Education Classes – $125.00 (small group 1-7) $150.00 (medium group 8 -15) $175.00 +(large group 19 and over). SETTINGS: Library/Classrooms/Other (Children * Adults).
2 – Private Education Classes – $200.00 (Group Rates Vary). SETTINGS: Businesses/Industry Professionals/Other (Adults Only).
These classes consist of the following exercises.

Please note that we are not a petting zoo. We do not pass our animals around from one (child or adult) to another to hold or cuddle, etc. We do not cater birthday or other social party functions (and do not believe that any animal should be made to endure those kinds of noisy atmospheres). We are a professional educational foundation.
PLEASE NOTE: These classes are not designed to replace emergency vet care but to aid pet owners with immediate assistance of an animal in distress, allowing higher chances of survival while getting to a vet.
