WE DRIVE SO THEY SURVIVE
We get calls daily — tiny babies in DeQuincy, Lake Charles, Jennings, Crowley, Lafayette — that need immediate rescue, but we can’t drop everything we’re doing and drive 130 miles to grab these babies. That’s where YOU come in. We need a reliable relay team of volunteers to help us get those tiny babies back to the sanctuary as soon as possible!
How Transport Team Works:
- We get a call — baby needs pick-up — DeQuincy porch, Lake Charles, etc.
- We post ONE run in the Facebook Transport Group — with pick-up city and drop-off city.
- You check the group — you comment on the run — I can do DeQuincy to Lake Charles — 20 miles! — next driver comments, I can do Lake Charles to Lafayette! — you all talk and get moving!
- You drive your leg — 15 minutes or 15 miles — or as far as you can — meet next driver — hand off — baby safe and on the way to the sanctuary!
Who can drive: You live in Lafayette, Crowley, Lake Charles, DeQuincy, Sulphur, Jennings, etc. — anywhere nearby — tell us City / Town Where You Live and How far you will drive one-way — we match relay!
